Salesforce's AI story is starting to look more expensive than it is useful.
A Wall Street analyst just put out a bearish note on Salesforce, flagging that despite all the noise around their AI features, the harder commercial test is still ahead. Translation: they've announced a lot, but proving that customers will actually pay more — and stay — because of it is a different problem entirely.
For you, this matters less as a stock story and more as a vendor roadmap reality check. If your team is already fighting Salesforce to get basic workflow changes done, betting that their AI layer will somehow fix the underlying fit problem is a stretch. New features built on a platform that doesn't match how you operate just give you more things to work around.
Every CRM cycle that didn't pan out probably had a compelling feature announcement somewhere near the beginning.
