Analysts are circulating bullish takes on Salesforce right now — healthy margins, sticky enterprise contracts, AI features getting priced into the thesis. Good news if you own shares.

But if you're the ops or marketing leader who has to run your business inside that platform every day, the investor story isn't your story. Your story is the admin hours, the consultant invoices, the workflow that almost does what you need but not quite — and the workaround your team built in a spreadsheet six months ago that everyone now depends on.

The companies driving Salesforce's revenue numbers are mostly large enterprises with dedicated admin teams and six-figure implementation budgets. If that's not you, you're paying for a platform built around someone else's problems.

You've probably already lived through at least one CRM switch that promised to fix this and didn't. That's not a you problem — it's what happens when software is designed for analysts to admire and salespeople to demo, not operators to actually run.

A CRM being a good investment for Wall Street and a good fit for your team are two very different questions.
