Salesforce just added another large consulting partner to its ecosystem — and if you've been around enterprise software long enough, you know exactly what that means for your budget.

TTEC Holdings joined Salesforce's Agentforce partner program. Agentforce is Salesforce's AI-driven automation layer, and the partnership expands the army of implementation consultants certified to sell it, deploy it, and charge you for it.

Wall Street analysts are bullish. That's useful information if you own Salesforce stock. If you're the ops leader responsible for making the thing actually work, it mostly means more expensive humans standing between you and a workflow change that should take a Tuesday afternoon.

Here's the pattern you've probably lived: Salesforce announces a capability that sounds genuinely useful. Your team gets excited. Then you find out getting it configured for how your business actually runs costs six figures and a five-month timeline — delivered by a partner firm that's never run an ops team in their life.

That cycle has burned a lot of people who weren't slow or wrong. The platform's incentive is to grow the partner ecosystem. Your incentive is to get your data clean and your team moving without hiring a consulting firm every time the business changes.

More partners means more options for Salesforce. It rarely means faster or cheaper for you.
